Treat yourself to an at home spa with these two amazing recipes. The coffee and coconut body scrub is perfect for waking yourself up in the morning. We know it is a little less excited getting ready for a day in quarantine but this will hopefully help you start your day right! The oat and honey face mask is the perfect way to end a long day in quarantine. It’s soothing and nourishing and will have your skin looking brighter than ever when you step back into the outside world. The honey is moisturising, and the turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, making them wonderful for a good de-stress too.

Spending an hour in the tub with a glass of wine or two is self-care if you wear a face mask while doing it., right?

Makes 3-4 masks

1/4 cup plain oats
1/4 cup plain yogurt
juice of half a lemon or 1 teaspoon rosewater
1/3 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon sandalwood powder (optional)

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup coconut oil
1 cup coffee grounds
2-3 drops of your favourite essential oil (optional)

Recipe Makes 8

  • 500g self raising flour
  • 500g natural yoghurt (or any plain flavoured yoghurt)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Olives

1) In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder and then add the yoghurt. Bring ingredients together with your hands and then roll out onto well-floured surface.

2) Once combined split into 8 even balls.

3) Roll each one thinly and flat, you might need more flour for this.

4) Grab a frying pan with NO oil and whack on a medium heat.

5) Whilst this is warming you can get your olives (I just ripped them apart with my fingers) and poke into the top of the dough.

6) With the aid of a spatula, transfer the flatbread into the hot dry pan, and cook on each side for about 3-4 mins (checking occasionally so they don’t burn).

7) There you go, some damn fine tasty little flatbreads. Now it’s time to eat!

Recipe by Amy Laker

– An empty can (a coke can works perfectly)
– Knife (craft knife preferable but could also use scissors)
– Biro with ink pulled out
– Tape
– Nail varnish
– Thread

1) Cut top and bottom off of the can and slice down the side
2) Tape down the can (be careful not to slice your fingers!)
3) Using a biro, draw out your design (remember to draw in a little bit for the string to thread through!)
4) Once you’re done with your design, cut it out with scissors (be super careful here as the can will curl as you cut it)
5) Flip over and go over the design from the back to counterbalance the curling
6) Poke a hole to thread some string through
7) Get painting! (Don’t worry about being too neat, looks cute either way)
8) Once the paint is dry, thread your string and you’re done!

You may have heard us talking about our Do Tables, but might not be sure what they are? Well a Do Table is a small crafty activity you can enjoy over a drink, some food and a catch up with friends! Our Do’s are always fun and easy and usually a bit silly, as we encourage adults to be playful and to get creative as often as possible as we believe that it’s good for the mind, body and soul.

When booking your Do Table, we ask you to pay a deposit in advance which secures your booking and covers the cost of the craft materials. They start from 6pm but you can book for whatever time suits you. We recommend booking in time to catch our Happy Hour so you can help get those creative juices flowing!

We have 5 Do Tables which helped pave the foundations for DSD, that we have been running since we formed the company back in 2009. Let’s get to know them;

Lego Robots:
This one is guaranteed to take you back to your childhood as we task you with building the best robot you can out of lego! As you and your robot are the ultimate team, you must name your robot, give it 3 special powers and then create a back story. May the best bot win!

Nipple Tassels:
Time to shake what ya mamma gave ya because we’re going back to our sex shop roots (we used to share our space in the building with a sex shop, you can read all about it here) and giving you the chance to create a perfect pair of naughty nipple tassels

Lionel Rich-Tea:
This one really takes the biscuit. We give you a Rich Tea biccy and ask you to recreate Lionel Richie’s joyous face with icing. You’re very welcome to eat it after! No artistic skills necessary, just silly, fun and a little bit sticky!

Papier Mache Monster Mash:
If you’re looking for a childhood throw back, this is the Do for you! Making papier mache monsters out of tissue paper, PVA glue, pipe cleaners, googly eyes and balloons, we’re giving Blue Peter a run for their money! Once you’re done, take them home and scare the shit out of your housemates with your monstrous creation.

Play With Clay:
This Do is pretty self explanatory but also pretty fun. We give you some clay for you to play and mould with. We’ll give you a theme and some inspirational photos, and off you go! You’re tasked with creating something as realistic and close to the theme as possible. Or you can go completely off on a tangent and mould what ever the hell you want, hey, it’s your clay after all!

Now you know about our core Do Tables, it’s time to try them out for yourself! Check out our What’s On page to see all the upcoming Do’s we’ve got lined up for you.
